Pretty amazing video. Most of the video is true…

I always wondered who the 3rd guy in the video is, turns out it is George Adamson - the “Father” of the Lion conservation movement. That explains his affinity with the lions.

The interesting thing is that my father told me a similar story back in the day about a particular elephant @ Rani Baug (Mumbai’s Zoo) he used to always feed peanuts to… apparently the elephant established a rapport with my dad and if he whistled a particular tune, he would always turn towards him and my mom and chill out.

What was amazing is that when he returned to Rani Baug over a decade later, he recognized his elephant and whistled the same tune and got the same response… I am sure for a few moments they both felt like all was well with the world.

Elephants never forget indeed.
