At long last, we got this true community effort out to the bookshelves. It’s been a long time coming and a good bit more delayed than anyone might have expected. Regardless, the additional time spent has resulted in a book of much higher quality and applicability. For users getting into MyFaces and Facelets - this book is the only one to give you full exposure into all the sub-projects, their uses and common pitfalls.

Special thanks goes to the two late entrants into the book - Hazem Saleh & Allan Lykke Christensen - both of whom contributed tirelessly to improve the book’s content and quality. I could not have finished this project without their late injection of enthusiasm!

It’s been an interesting year with two books coming out: One and Two.

In March 2009, I’ll have my small part to play in another book - 97 Things Every Software Architect Should Know - from O’Reilly publishing. This is a book I am honored to be a part of because of the company it keeps - some architects I really admire - Gregor Hohpe & John Davies are in it. I thank Richard Monson-Haefel for this opportunity!
