Creator of the Haskell language. One in a billion.

He really is in a league of his own.

I have to say, the Microsoft Research Lab in Cambridge, Massachusetts is putting together a serious portfolio of intellectual capital to say the least. Christian Borgs, Jennifer Chayes, Danah Boyd & Simon Peyton Jones alone are worth the price of entry into M$ land. Simon is in Cambridge, UK - not MA as I wrongly assumed.

Now all they need is a Steve Jobs-like person to thread it all together and channel all those ideas into something meaningful for society. This is probably the most difficult phase transition’ of all to accomplish and a very rare skill indeed. hint hint
