This was the 4th episode of the HBO series, and an amusing one. If the viewer successfully subscribes to the characters and unsubscribes from the bigger political/humanitarian themes, the series is entertaining. The dialog exchanges are superb as are the character portrayals.
It’s very easy to watch G-Kill and get caught up in the macro issues of the Iraq war. I am sure that’s one of the messages the director is attempting to send, but I am ignoring it. I am not watching this series to experience the dark-side of war - I want to decompress on a Sunday evening, so I’ll pick my happy prism, thank you very much.
